ThinkCyber is pleased to announce the appointment of Seb Cameron as the company’s new Head of Sales.
His promotion follows a successful 10-month tenure as Sales Director, during which he played a pivotal role in strengthening ThinkCyber’s position in the Security Awareness space. Now, as Head of Sales, Seb will lead the team into its next phase of growth, driving innovation and enhancing the company’s sales strategy.
With over a decade of experience, Seb’s career in sales began in 2011 in the corporate sports events industry, where he worked in Bermuda and Dubai. His transition into the SaaS sector saw him take on key sales roles at Channel Advisor and Trustpilot, where he was part of a successful IPO. Before joining ThinkCyber, he consulted with industry peers, including Chris Jump (SCC) and Drew Thomas (Microsoft), whose insights cemented his decision to enter the cyber security space.
Reflecting on his appointment, Seb says: “Having only been with the business for 10 months before being offered this role, it’s obviously a huge honour and something I am immensely proud of. I’m now looking forward to tackling the next phase and seeing where it takes us”
Seb is particularly enthusiastic about ThinkCyber’s approach to cyber security awareness, which combines behavioural science with real-time interventions. “The industry is starting to wake up to the fact that traditional methods of delivering security awareness training are not moving the needle enough. We are of course in a challenging space with other more established organisations, but we genuinely are the only organisation who can deliver education and training through real-time interventions.”
He continued: "It’s important to remember that we are a relatively new team, and success will take time and won’t be straightforward. However, I am confident in the team we have. If we stay focused, with a positive mindset, then the sky really is the limit."
Tim Ward, ThinkCyber CEO, shares his thoughts on the appointment: "Working with Seb over the past 10 months has been fantastic. He's brought an energy and a rigour to his work that is enviable. So I'm really pleased we could offer him the opportunity to pass that on through leading the team."
It isn't all contracts and handshakes. Outside of his day job, Seb spends his weekends managing his son’s football team, reconnecting with nature, and cooking up a storm in the kitchen.
“I love to cook, and you’ll find me most Sundays in the kitchen all day cooking up something wonderful for my family.
"When I'm not in the kitchen, I'm high-altitude mountaineering and trail running in the mountains—nothing beats it. For me, it’s total contentment, but there are times when you have to draw on mental and physical strength to get you through to the end, and I love that."
